A Special Message
From Our Wonderful Senior Fall Fair Ambassador,
Jade Flemming!

(LtoR) Senior Fall Fair Ambassador, Jade Flemming and Junior Fall Fair Ambassador, Warren Swidersky already fast at fulfilling duties in the Shelburne Fall Fair 2015!

"Hello ! My name is Jade Fleming. I am happy to be representing the Shelburne Agricultural Society AGAIN as the Shelburne Fall Fair Senior Ambassador. For those who might not be familiar with the roles of a “Fair Ambassador” let me fill you in. A Fair Ambassador is an individual who represent their Agricultural Society. We hang around on fair weekend handing out ribbons, help judge competitions such as the baby show and look for ways to make our fair bigger and better for next year. We also attend other fairs in our area such as Grand Valley and Dundalk to bring greetings from the Shelburne Agricultural Society. I am happy to have Warren Swidersky as my Jr. Ambassador this year. When I was his age I also had the opportunity to be a Jr. Fall Fair Ambassador. Warren will accompany me to most events where we will both work on our personal, people and public speaking skills. I have known Warren for a few years now and I know being a Jr. Fair Ambassador will make him an even better individual than he already is.

My favourite part of the Fair would have to be the Demolition Derby, the Draft Horse Show and the Baby Show. This year I had the opportunity of planning and running the Baby Show. It was a very good experience and I’m look forward to running it again next year and making it even better.

Being a Sr. Fair Ambassador these past 2 years has really brought me out of my shell. I now can keep a conversation going with most people on the street and I feel comfortable doing so. Another perk to my job is all the connections I now have. I am supported by a wonderful Fair Board and many other Ambassadors across Ontario that motivate and encourage me to succeed.

I would like to thank the Shelburne Agriculture Society for giving me this opportunity, also to all the volunteers and directors that continue to do a wonderful job of putting the Shelburne Fair on every year. I know Warren and I are looking forward to a fantastic year of Ag Awareness in our community and promoting the fair !!"

If you are interested in becoming a Fair Ambassador please contact the committee at 519-925-1930.
