Easter In Shelburne 2016

Despite the stressful passed few days when recovering from the devastating ice storm of 2016 that left much of Shelburne and Surrounding area without Hydro even three days later, Shelburnite, Volunteer Stephanie Batchelor stepped up and organized Shelburne's now Annual Event, our 3rd Easter Egg Hunt held at the Centre Dufferin Recreational Centre(CDRC-Arena).  Organizers and volunteers were not disappointed in the turnout as over 200 people attended, enjoying face painting, arts and crafts, nails painted, photos with the Easter Bunny, food cooked by Micah's Kitchen, bouncy ball castle and of course the Easter Egg Hunt itself, where kids hunted for approximately 10,000 Easter Eggs provided by Shelburne's John's No Frills. In the midst of chaos many people came together to bring a very happy occasion for our youngest Shelburnites. (Click on photos for full view)

Staff of Micah's Kitchen provided much needed sustenance, for some the first hot meal in days due to Hydro being down.
